The dromaeosaurid "killer-claw" was still present in Rahonavis, as it probably attacked
from tree branches. In Unenlagia no phalanges are known, but it is believed to either be a species closely related to
Rahonavis or be a Megaraptor or Unquillosaurus juvenile.

In Archaeopteryx the extra large claw was gone, but it still had the hyperextendable digit, which all the dromaeosaurs
had.

In neornithes there sometimes occur clawed wings (hoatzin hatchlings) and 'killer claws' (cassowary, some eagle species). These
peculiar fetures, along with the strange anatomy of the ostrich, or the appearance of an eagle, make many people speculate in
which dinosaur this bird must be most related to. Sometimes it can look like the eagle must be more related to
dromaeosaurids than a duck, and that an ostrich obviously evolved from Ornithomimids
but this is purely based on outer appearance, and not genetics. All living birds have the same common ancestor.
